This evening before heading to the grocery store with my mom, the following conversation took place:

Mom: We're headed to the grocery store, do you need anything?

Dad: Well if you're going to the kind of store that has paper towels, we need them.

Me: Mom, what kind of grocery stores don't carry paper towels?

Mom: I just ignore him sometimes!

Haha! I guess that's what you learn to do after being married 30+ years!

Dear my lovely husband,

Please bring home these gorgeous Kate Spade pumps from California.

You've caused me much grief by leaving me at home while you're enjoying the California sunshine! I think I've truly earned these shoes!

Please do the right thing and stow these beauties in your carry-on bag!

Hubby and I...

Hubby is leaving for California this afternoon.

I am working all afternoon.

Hubby is going to be in California until Sunday.

I will be sleepless in Seattle until Sunday.

Hubby is going to San Diego to walk the board walk.

I'm going to the gym to run the treadmill.

He is excited.

I am not.

***Don't feel too bad for me because I'm going to Las Vegas in a couple of weeks!

Where oh where does the time go?

We've been:

-Working long days (10-14 hours)

-Waiting to close on a house (cross your fingers)

-Visiting my Grandma (she's recovering from surgery)

-Camping

-Boating

-Shopping (haha when do we not?!)

-Dreaming of our future home improvement projects!

-Enjoying the sunshine

-Wishing to see our nephew more (that's a hint Shawna!)

*I like how the prediction for yesterday's weather was 98 degrees, but at our house it was probably 107 degrees at the hottest point during the day!

Are skirts now for males and females?

This morning I decided to wear a white linen skirt to work. Shortly after arriving at work one of my male co-workers came in wearing shorts. I said, "wow, you're wearing shorts today" and he replied with,"Yup. Wow, you're wearing a skirt today. I was also thinking about wearing a skirt today". Hmm...the scary thing is that he was dead serious when he said he was thinking about wearing a skirt! Yikes this place gets crazier by the day!!
